The brief
Our beloved friends at Café Camas closed their St-Henri location to reopen and partner with vintage boutique Le Ninety on St-Denis.
This new collaboration between already established business meant carefully merging the two brands without favouring one over the other.
With the co-branding was to bring with it a breath of fresh air and new visual elements—such as a new logo and mascot.
The strategy
We chose to model a completely custom typeface for the co-logo as a way to celebrate the new union and journey. Drawing inspiration from the form of records vinyls (a key product of Camas) and the expressive colours found in the clothing sold by the boutique, we constructed a playful, bold and timeless visual identity.
The branding doesn’t feel like it belongs to a specific era or style, which was important to us as the business offers products rom all periods.
“Someone pointed me to Flo and Cam when I needed a fresh branding for my café and they did not disappoint. You ask they deliver.”
— Lou Amireault, Part-owner of Café Camas
